Francesca Escoto

My life is a fabulous adventure. It started in Dominican Republic, where my family ran Taekwondo schools throughout the island. Like all good immigrants, my parents opened the doors to great education in the U.S., so I became an engineer at WPI.

My first venture was building software to track the performance of aircraft engines, and since then, I have done it all: franchise, consulting, community organizing, academia, I was even your MaryKay lady!

Software and management consulting remained my passion, and in 2013, I ditched everything else to focus exclusively on these two, through Brava Management Consulting. I help growing startups optimize operations, increase profits, while deepening their social impact.

I am Chairman of the Board for the Allapattah CDC, a Miami-based non-profit that fights gentrification. At Black & Brown Founders, my title is Director of Education, where I co-create knowledge bites for startup founders.

My most prized and challenging role is Mother. I'm raising 3 beautiful, intelligent, vibrant young women, who will make their mark in the world really soon. In between it all, I paint, dance salsa, write, and tend to my garden.
